"Gulf of America": R4 is the first PURSUE release to use the renamed body of water
DOW-UAP-PR115 in R4 is titled "Unresolved UAP Report, Gulf of America, 2019." Its DVIDS location field also reads "Gulf of America" (country_abbreviation: "XG" or similar). This is the first PURSUE record to use the renamed geographic designation — Executive Order 14172, issued January 20, 2025, renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America for U.S. federal purposes.
Every prior PURSUE record referencing that body of water would have used "Gulf of Mexico" (though no such prior reference exists — PR115 is the first). The naming is a small proof that the DoW's PURSUE pipeline follows current executive-branch geographic designations rather than the older internationally-recognized names. Worth noting for search: someone looking for a "Gulf of Mexico UFO 2019 declassified" report will not find this file by that name.
